WILLIAMSPORT, PA (August 2, 2019) – Held to just three hits all night, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, were shutout 1-0 by the Williamsport Crosscutters Friday night in the series opener at BB&T Ballpark and Historic Bowman Field.

BIG MOMENTS

  • Williamsport’s pitching staff held the Cyclones to three runs, tossing a three-man shutout. Adam Leverett, Junior Tejada, and Rafael Carvajal combined to strike out nine Cyclones in the series opener.
  • Logan O’Hoppe, a Long Island native, doubled in a run in the bottom of the first to put Williamsport ahead 1-0.
  • Cyclones starter Michel Otanez took the tough-luck loss, allowing one run on four hits over 5 1/3 innings.
