Chambers & Bullpen Chop Down 'Cutters, 6-2

BROOKLYN, NY (July 15, 2018) –  Chase Chambers doubled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season, Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, to a 6-2 win over the Williamsport Crosscutters Sunday afternoon in the second of a three-game series at MCU Park.

BIG MOMENTS

  • Chase Chambers’ two-run double, and Wagner Langrange’s sacrifice fly, gave Brooklyn a 3-0 lead in the first inning against Williamsport starter Colton Eastman.
  • The Crosscutters cut the deficit to 4-2 in the fifth on Brayan Gonzalez’s RBI double.
  • With the bases loaded in the seventh, Cyclones reliever Yeudy Colon struck out Ben Aklinski to preserve Brooklyn’s 5-2 lead.
