CYCLONES vs. RENEGADES SERIES PREVIEW![]()
The Cyclones will open up the NYPL SemiFinals on Friday evening when they take on the Hudson Valley Renegades in Game One of a best-of-three series. The division rivals are familiar with each other, having squared off 10 times this season with Brooklyn going 7-3 against the Renegades. For the Cyclones Eudy Pina has had the most offensive success against Hudson Valley hitting .440 (11-25) with five runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in seven games. OF Stefan Sabol has also had success against the Renegades, batting .333 (10-30) in eight games against Hudson Valley. On the mound, Luis Mateo is 2-0 in three starts against the ‘Gades. In 19.0 innings on the mound he has struck out 21 and allowed just one run. Mateo is set to take the mound for the Cyclones in Game Two. Game One starter Hansel Robles is 1-0 in his two starts against Hudson Valley. Brooklyn has outscored the Renegades 42-30 in 10 games.
