Beginning on Friday, June 6th, at 12 noon, the Brooklyn Cyclones Front Office staff will play 24 straight hours of baseball, as part of a unique fundraising effort. The team will face 12 teams from throughout New York in two-hour games.
It has recently been announced that RCN – the official sponsor of the Cyclones’ 2008 season – will be donating $50 for every run the Cyclones staff scores during the 24 Hours of Baseball event.
“We are truly grateful for RCN’s support this season, and in our 24 Hours of Baseball event,” said Cyclones General Manager Steve Cohen. “Knowing that each run we score will help these worthy causes will be just the incentive we need to give it our all, even in the wee hours of the morning.”
Thusfar, the Cyclones have raised approximately $15,000. Donations can be made by CLICKING HERE
