Last year, the Brooklyn Cyclones celebrated the 25 Years of Nothing as the team hosted their Salute to Seinfeld Night and it was “gold Jerry, gold! (No, seriously, the team won gold for it) The Cyclones were honored with a pair of Golden Bobblehead Awards (Minor League Baseball’s Oscars) for Best Theme Night and Best Overall Promotion in all of MiLB for the 2014 season.
So it’s going to be tough to top it, but we think we’re off to a good start. First fans scooped up over 250 “Man Hands” packages as part of our Festivus Ticket plan. Next came a complete sell out of 188 Van Burn Boys bobblehead / t-shirt packages in less than an hour. What’s next? Well, the Cyclones want to be in the Kenny Bania business.
Starting Friday, April 3rd at 10 AM, the Cyclones will have a special “Share a Meal with Bania” meet and greet package that will be made available for our Salute to Seinfeld Night II on Sunday, July 5th. These fans will have a chance to participate in a private meet and greet with actor Steve Hytner, who famously played the role of Kenny Bania. The package will give fans the chance to enjoy an Ovaltine tasting and a meal…well we still don’t know if you can consider soup to be a meal…courtesy of The Original Soupman.
The package, which also includes an hour long photo and autograph session as well as a field box ticket and Van Buren Boys t-shirt, will cost $45 a person. The event will take place in Wine Drives and Short Hops – which will be renamed Mendy’s in honor of the evening’s festivities.
If you aren’t one of the lucky 100 to reserve your spot for this private meet and greet, Steve Hytner will also be posing for photos and signing autographs on the concourse during the game, the line may be rather lengthy though because as Bania says:
Tickets for the package will be available exclusively through BrooklynCyclones.com. Single game tickets for this game, and all games, will go on sale in early May. Group tickets, partial season and full-season tickets are on sale now by calling 718-37-BKLYN.
