'Clones score late, win Game One 2-1

Jose Peroza broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 8th with a sacrifice fly and Brooklyn held on late for a 2-1 win over the Lowell Spinners and head back to New York on Monday with a chance to win the New York-Penn League title. 

BKLYN Wins a Wild One, 9-8

Brooklyn led 7-0 and 8-3 but needed an RBI single from Jake Mangum in the top of the 8th to escape Aberdeen with a 9-8 win over the IronBirds.  With the win Brooklyn is now tied for the McNamara Division lead with just five games to play.

Cyclones End Up All Wet in 1-0 Loss

The Cyclones dropped a rain-shortened contest on Thursday night, falling to the Connecticut Tigers by the score of 1-0 in just five innings at Dodd Stadium. Despite the fact that the rain stopped and cleared the area, the field in Norwich was deemed unplayable, resulting in the game being called.

Saturday night’s game between the Cyclones and Tri-City ValleyCats was suspended due to fog. It will resume on Sunday, August 18th at 3:30 PM and be played to completion. The regularly scheduled game for Sunday will follow 30 minutes later and be a seven-inning contest.
