Cyclones All Wet in 4-1 Rain Shortened Loss

 

 

CONEY ISLAND, NY (July 23, 2019) – Wilmer Reyes collected two hits but the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, lost 4-1 in a rain-shortened game against the Tri-City ValleyCats Tuesday night in the opener at MCU Park.

BIG MOMENTS

  • Tri-City broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the fourth scoring on RBI singles from Yeuris Ramirez, E.P. Reese, and Luis Guerrero against Corey Gaconi to take a 4-1 lead.
  • Down 1-0, Brooklyn’s Wilmer Reyes tied the game with a run-scoring single to center field.
  • Columbia Fireflies rehabber Colin Holderman allowed one run on two hits and two walks over two innings for the Cyclones.
