WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY (July 19, 2019) – Behind four early runs and terrific relief pitching, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, won the rubber game 4-2 against Hudson Valley Friday night at Dutchess Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS

  • Matt Mullenbach struck out three consecutive batters in the bottom of the eighth inning, stranding the bases loaded to preserve the 4-2 lead. Mullenbach entered after Triple-A Syracuse rehabber P.J. Conlon loaded the bases.
  • Wilmer Reyes drove in a pair of runs in Brooklyn’s early rally, doubling in the first run before singling in the second inning to make it 4-0.
  • Jared Biddy, Justin Lasko, P.J. Conlon, and Matt Mullenbach combined for 6 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the victory.
