ABERDEEN, MD (June 27, 2019) – Jose Medina, Brian Metoyer, and Luis Silva banded together late to produce a 4-3 extra-innings victory for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, who swept the Aberdeen IronBirds in a three-game set at Ripken Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS

  • Jose Medina delivered a two-out RBI single to center field, giving Brooklyn a 4-3 lead in the top of the 10th inning.
  • Brian Metoyer escaped a bases-loaded jam in the ninth with the game tied 3-3, and Luis Silva straded the bases loaded in the 10th to preserve the victory.
  • Aberdeen plated three runs in the fifth highlighted by Johnny Rizer’s RBI double and Joey Ortiz’s run-scoring single against Dan Goggin.
