MAKING UP WITH MONSTERS

The Cyclones’ August 21st game against the Vermont Lake Monsters was suspended in the 12th inning with Brooklyn leading by one run, but Vermont threatening with runners on first and second base with one out. The game was scheduled to be completed prior to the teams’ August 22nd game, but the completion of the suspended game AND the regularly-scheduled game were both rained out on the 22nd.

Vermont was scheduled to travel to Brooklyn for a three-game series from August 31st to September 2nd, and both the suspended game and rainout will now be completed and played, respectively, during that series.  UPDATED AS OF 8/27:

  • The 8/21 suspended game will be completed, starting at 6:30pm, on Tuesday, August 31st. Fans with tickets to the 8/31 game will be admitted to the ballpark -- and receive that night’s giveaway when the MCU Park gates open at 5:30pm.
  • The 8/22 rainout will be played as part of a doubleheader at MCU Park beginning at 6pm on Wednesday, September 1st. Both games will be seven-inning games, in accordance with NYPL rules.
