CYCLONES TOPPED BY S.I.

Box Score

The Brooklyn Cyclones (17-7) suffered a 5-3 loss to the Staten Island Yankees (11-13) on Sunday afternoon.  Despite the team's fifth loss in six games, the Cyclones remain in first place in the McNamara Division, 4.5 games ahead of the Hudson Valley Renegades (12-11).

On Sunday, LHP Mark Cohoon (4-1) took his first loss of the season.  Cohoon allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits, with two strikeouts in 7.0 innings.

Brooklyn's offense managed three runs on six hits, with DH Dock Doyle notching the team's only multi-hit performance of the night (2-for-3).  John Servidio (pictured, by George Napolitano), Andy Green, Alex Gregory, and Joe Bonfe all registered one hit apiece.

The Cyclones' next home game is on Tuesday, July 14th.  That night is Asian Heritage Night at the ballpark, and the start of the (Re)Cyclones' Going Green Week.  The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a Going Green Tote Bag, presented by National Grid.
