GOING "WILD" IN BROOKLYN

The Cyclones -- the NYPL Wild Card team -- travel to Mahoning Valley for Game Two and Three (if necessary) of the Semifinals.  A loss in either game would end Brooklyn's season, but if the Cyclones can win both games, the team will return home to face either Staten Island or Lowell in the Championship Series.

The NYPL playoffs consist of two rounds of play, beginning on September 8th.  Three division winners and one Wild Card team (non-division winner with the best overall record) qualify for the playoffs, and compete in a best-of-three Semifinal round of play.  Brooklyn will face Mahoning Valley, and and Staten Island will take on the Lowell Spinners

The first game of each series is played at the home field of the lower seed.  The final two games, if necessary, are then played at the home field of the higher seed, giving the team with the better record a "home field advantage."  As the Wild Card team, Brooklyn cannot have home field advantage, regardless of their opponent's record.

The Cyclones can potentially host a minimum one more home playoff game.  For ticketing purposes, that game is designated Game B.

Playoff tickets are also be available by phone at 718-507-TIXX, or at the KeySpan Park or Citi Field ticket windows.
