The Cyclones and Renegades waged another battle on Tuesday, their third one-run game in six meetings, as Brooklyn fell by a score of 2-1. Brad Holt
surrendered two runs, just one earned, in his 3.2 innings of work, and was relieved by Matias Carrillo
(1.2 IP), Montero Cruz
(0.1 IP), Roy Merritt
(0.2 IP), and Wendy Rosa
(1.2 IP) -- who all held Hudson Valley scoreless for the remainder of the game.
Brooklyn's bats, however, were also held in check, as the team managed just one run on five hits. SS Reese Havens
picked up his first professional hit, and fellow first-rounder IB Ike Davis
extended his hitting streak to six games, hitting in every game in which he has played. C Cesar Cordido
also notched a hit , and OF John Servidio (pictured, by George Napolitano)
was the only Cyclone with two hits.
The Cyclones travel to Williamsport for a three game series before they return home on Saturday, July 5 at 6 pm to face the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. On Saturday, the first 1,250 kids (14 and under) will receive a 28-inch wooden bat. It will also be Backwards Night at KeySpan Park, os ekam erus uoy emoc tuo dna troppus eht senolcyC!
Also on Saturday, July 5th Mets legend Darryl Srawberry will be signing free autographs
at KeySpan Park, beginning at 5pm. Strawberry will sign one item per person
on the Concourse level in front of the team store, and will sign autographs from 5pm - 6pm
