On Tuesday, June 17, Sandy the Seagull will ride the subway along the B and Q lines through Brooklyn, on his way to Stillwell Avenue, home of the KeySpan Park, for Opening Day.
Sandy will be on the platforms and out on the streets to greet fans and passersby. Some lucky riders may receive a free MetroCard, valued at $2, courtesy of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Photo opportunities and other free giveaways will accompany Sandy as he greets people at select stops.
Throughout the summer, the Brooklyn Cyclones have will offer fans ticket discounts as part of a MetroCard Deals promotion. Fans who use the MetroCard code when purchasing tickets to weekend home games will receive 20% off field box seats and 25% off bleacher seats. The MetroCard Deal will be valid from opening weekend until the final homestand in the fall.
