Cyclones third baseman Jhoan Urena was named our National Honey Board Player of the Week for the period ending June 29th. The 19-year-old currently has a 10 game hitting streak. The 10 game streak is the longest active hitting streak in the NYPL and is only the third to reach double digits in the NYPL this season. He is batting .325 (13-40) over this span with five runs scored, four doubles and five RBI. He is only the second teenager in franchise history to have a double-digit hitting streak, joining Alhaji Turay who hit in 12 straight during the 2012 campaign.
