On Wednesday afternoon Danny Muno got to live his big league dream - if only for a day - as took the field with the Mets for batting practice prior to the Sterling Awards ceremony.

When the 2011 New York-Penn League All-Star arrived at Citi Field he was escourted into the Mets clubhouse where he was introduced to former Cyclones Ike Davis, Dillon Gee and Angel Pagan as well as All-Stars David Wright and Jose Reyes before being given a Mets uniform for the very first time.  Danny headed out to the field where he took batting practice with the team and with Sandy Alderson, Jeff Wilpon and others watching from around the cage, Muno hit three home runs during his BP session including one shot that bounced off of the Shea Bridge in right-center field.

"This whole experience has been terrific," Muno said after taking his hacks during batting practice.  "Growing up, you always dream of making it to the big leagues.  I know I still have a lot to work on and improve on before I can be here every day, but just getting a taste of what it's like to be a Major League baseball player makes me want it even more.  This has been aweseom."

After batting practice Danny headed out to short stop where he joked around with current Met and Cyclone-for-a-day Jose Reyes.

"It was pretty cool that he remembered me.  He was with the team for all of five hours that day, but he congratulated me on winning the award and told me he won the Sterling Award back when he was at Kingsport."

The day continued with a pre-game ceremony on the field and then Danny as well as his father and the rest of the Sterling Award winners were able to watch the game form a luxury suite.

"This was my first time at Citi Field.  Being in Brooklyn was great, and the fans were awesome, but being here and seeing what life in the big leagues is like makes me want to get here even more.  This will be motivation for me this off-season for sure.  I can't wait for next season so i can get hopefully another step closer to wearing this Mets uniform permanently."
